FIRST SHE BOTCHED THE NATIONAL ANTHEM, THEN THERE WAS THAT SLIP UP AT THE GRAMMYS, NOT TO MENTION ALL THE SLOPPY DRUNK STORIES OUT THERE...BUT NOW CHRISTINA AGUILERA'S FRIENDS ARE WORRIED SHE'S HEADED FOR A BREAKDOWN.

X-TINA'S FRIENDS ARE SPILLING LOTS OF DIRT ON THE TROUBLED STAR -- MOST OF IT ABOUT HER "BOOZING IT UP WITH BOYFRIEND, MATTHEW RUTLER." A SOURCE TELLS US WEEKLY, "Her drinking is out of control."

DURING CHRISTINA'S PROMO TOUR FOR BURLESQUE, THE SOURCE SAYS, "Every city they went to -- London - Tokyo - Christina was pretty drunk, and Matt had to carry her home."

ANOTHER FRIEND SAYS, ON NEW YEAR'S EVE, "Christina was so wasted that her mother told her to lie down and sober up. Christina yelled, 'Who do you think you are?' Then she called her brother's girlfriend a whore. It was crazy!"

AT ANOTHER FAMILY GATHERING, CHRISTINA AND HER MATTHEW SUPPOSEDLY HAD SEX IN A BATHROOM! AN INSIDER SAYS, "Her friends are fed up. Nobody can get through to her. They think she's trashy.
