Les Chais de Grenat 2005 ~ Corbieres
A moderate table wine (vin de pays) from Bizanet in Aude. Pleasant ripe dark plums with a hint of thyme, followed by warm smoky wood notes, with just a touch of cherry in the finish. Very good value for money at around 3.50€ a bottle. At this price it makes for a good summer wine and it can be chilled without making it bland.
